Mission Statement:

Fields4Kids is a volunteer based non-profit organization focused on providing safe and adequate indoor and outdoor playing facilities for the Eastern Maine region.  Fields4Kids’ focus is to:

• Provide safe and drug-free facilities for youth to learn and play in a positive environment while promoting a healthy lifestyle
• Provide high-quality indoor/outdoor field space for local groups to offer programming to increase physical activity or to meet their organizational needs
• Provide safe and reliable facilities for rental for all community organizations
• Offer a home for a year-round programming for children with physical and mental disabilities (indoor facility)
• Provide coaching, referee, nutrition and fitness education classes for all sports
• Award scholarships to children within the Eastern Maine region for participation in local sports through scholarship program

Vision: 
Fields4Kids offers an indoor and outdoor facility for multi-sport programming including youth and adults.  Fields4Kids will provide and administer an organized structure with safe and adequate indoor and outdoor playing fields for all sports.  A primary focus for each Fields4Kids facility and program is promoting a healthy lifestyle through education, environment (drug-free and tobacco-free), and safety. 

How Can I Help?

1. Get involved in a league, tournament or clinic being offered at either the 12,000 square foot indoor sports facility or the outdoor lighted grass field.  Current leagues include soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey for children ages 3 up to adults over 40. 

2. Help support the Fields4Kids organization through a tax-deductible donation, an in-kind donation, or purchase a sign to advertise your business.  Advertising packages are available to receive visibility at both facilities.  View our “material wish list” for both the indoor and outdoor facility so that community members and businesses can select specific ways in which to help through in-kind donations.

3. Rent the indoor fieldturf fields (two 80’ x 56’ fields separated by netting that can be removed to make bigger area) at the indoor facility located behind Beal College in Bangor or rent the 200’ x 220’ lighted outdoor field located at the Sports Arena in Hermon.

Rentals can include a game or practice, community event, a yard sale, afternoon/morning walking, day care exercise time, a birthday party, a dance, a work place event, or a sporting event.  The indoor facility has bathrooms, a training room and office. The outdoor facility is located at the Sports Arena which creates a great environment for an event or function.
